Burberry's latest spring 2026 campaign showcases the brand's unique take on the vibrant music scene of the U.K. with an eclectic cast of models. Among them are the legendary Twiggy, who exudes cool in a leather trench coat with fringe, and Maya Wigram, the daughter of fashion designer Phoebe Philo, who sports a stylish brown paisley laser-cut suede trench coat. The campaign is a celebration of the deep-rooted connection between music and fashion, as described by Burberry's chief creative officer, Daniel Lee.
Lee's inspiration stems from British summer festivals, the mod culture of 'Quadrophenia: A Mod Ballet,' and the upcoming Beatles biopic. He envisioned a collection that paid homage to this relationship, featuring short, swingy A-line coats in Pop Art-inspired colors, long scarves, Chelsea boots, and shaggy Gallagher brothers-style hair. The dresses were short, sleeveless, and breezy, crafted from macramé or chainmail and hand-crocheted and embroidered. Lee's attention to detail extended to the suits, which were slimmed down with longer jackets and a shinier coating, reflecting the '60s flair.
For the evening, Lee's creativity knew no bounds. He iced mini-kilts with pink, green, and silver sequins in the iconic Burberry check pattern and designed silky bomber jackets and bright, tie-dyed suits for men. This campaign not only showcases Burberry's unique vision but also highlights the brand's ability to blend music and fashion seamlessly, creating a collection that is both trendy and culturally significant.
